Quality/Risk Coordinator

Duties include reviewing medical records as well as the duties listed below.
Performs open and closed comprehensive clinical reviews to verify compliance; documents findings.
Monitors compliance with standards including CIMS/State/Clinical Standards by discipline (NSG/PT/OT/ST/Medical Staff).
Partners with clinical leaders to review findings, set corrective action, audit for lasting change.
Partners with medical staff to discuss treatment plans, clinical protocols, documentation, etc.
Educates clinical staff during records review on compliance standards and growth opportunities.
Prepares summary report of findings, corrective actions, and follow-up plan; provides to DQM.
Provides recommendations to clinical leaders regarding best practice behaviors.
Participates on quality management and performance improvement programs as necessary.
Assists Director Quality/Risk and Clinical Leaders in planning activities Participates in preparing Medical Records Review Program based upon the defined objectives.
Executes clinical review procedures; documents findings per company Compliance Standards.
Identifies and prioritizes potential exceptions, exposures, and opportunities for clinical review.
Works with client management and staff to obtain concurrence on issues and recommendations.
Organizes, plans, and manages time effectively to complete assignments.
Meets position requirements and performs essential functions.
Completes mandatory training and courses required by completion date.
Reports questionable situations, concerns, complaints or harassment immediately.
The Quality/Risk Coordinator, under the general direction of the Quality/Risk Director, assists in the administration of the the quality and risk functions, including but not limited to working with hospital administration, departments and the medical staff to monitor and evaluate the quality of delivery of patient care services within the hospital.
The Coordinator also ensures proper compliance with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, corporate and hospital policies and procedures, and implements risk, quality assessment and improvement programs within the hospital.

- Licensed or Certified according to individual state requirement.
Education, Training and Years of
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field preferred.
- Quality and/or risk management experience, including performance improvement activitities, regulatory compliance, conflict resolution and risk management activities.
Machines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.
Physical Requirements:
- Good visual acuity and ability to communicate.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 50 pounds, which includes the lifting, pushing and/or pulling of medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients.
Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.
- Ability to withstand prolonged standing and walking.
- Ability to reach, stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch are required for patient care functions and in setting up and monitoring equipmentSkills and Abilities:
- Ability to speak, read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
